Barnsley went through an unbeaten pre-season last summer- winning eight and drawing one, but they have been defeated in their first outing this summer, with a pretty strong line-up going down 3-0 at home to Blue Square Premier side Mansfield Town.
Ex Barnsley striker Michael Boulding, Ryan Williams and Justin Leonard were on the scoresheet against a Barnsley side which featured two of the new signings with another three on the bench.
