Three former Barnsley players have today found out where their respective futures lie.

Daniel Nardiello is expected to complete a move to Championship rivals Blackpool in the next few days from QPR which will see Kaspars Gorkss go the other way. Nardiello spent four spells at Oakwell between 2004 and 2008 and made 134 appearances, finding the net on 32 occasions.

Goals from Nardiello included two at Leeds in the 06/07 season, the winner at Huddersfield in the Playoff semi-final second leg and the equaliser at the Millennium Stadium in the Final from a free kick.

Another Cardiff hero, Nick Colgan has also completed a shock move to Premier League side Sunderland and joins compatriot Roy Keane. Colgan made the crucial save in the Playoff final penalty shootout from Alan Tate. Overall he made 131 Barnsley appearances between 04 and 08.

And finally, arguably the man that kept the Reds in business - Isaiah Rankin has moved from Stevenage Borough to Crawley Town today. Rankin scored a 94th minute winner against Brentford to save the Reds from dropping to the basement of the Football League.

Rankin made 46 appearances for Barnsley, scoring eight. He has been around since leaving Oakwell in 2004, playing for Grimsby, Brentford, Macclesfield and Stevenage before today joining Crawley.
