Fallon deal done

Last updated : 11 November 2003 By Mad Tyke
Former Reds Barnsley striker Rory Fallon has joined Swindon Town in a two-and-a-half year deal today.

Fallon told the Official Swindon Town Website: “I knew that Swindon had been after me for a little while but recently the interest popped up again. Everything has happened quickly but I am delighted to be here.

“I was at Barnsley for six years, I joined as a YT when I was 15 and progressed through to the reserves and then the first team. I enjoyed my time up at Oakwell but it was time for a change and here I am.

“At Barnsley I was played as a target man but I have much more in my locker than that and I am looking forward to the chance to show the Swindon fans what I can do".
