After weeks of speculation Barnsley Football Club have today confirmed the signings of Kayode Odejayi for £200,000 from Cheltenham, the free transfer of right back Marciano Bruma from Sparta Rotterdam and...... the arrival of Welsh International Andy Johnson from Leicester City.

Whilst the Odejayi and Bruma swoops were well known in the news, the swoop for 33 year old midfielder Johnson has come as a surprise.

All three have had their registrations confirmed by the Football Association and will join up with The Reds squad for pre-season.

Meanwhile the Daily Mirror reports that Simon Davey is set to splash out £400,000 on Peruvian international striker Miguel Mostto from Cienciano.

Cienciano currently sit in 2nd place in the Peruvian league.
