Fleetwood manager Steven Pressley said:

“As much as I was disappointed with us on Saturday, I was really pleased with the way we played tonight but ultimately football is about winning.

“As a manager and in terms of what you can ask from your players I thought they were terrific. They passed the ball really well and there was purpose to our play.

“We pressed the game against a side who dominated against Chesterfield last weekend, but it was a role reversal tonight as we dominated it.

“It was a terrific finish for their goal but we made the wring decision in the lead up to it. That was the disappointing factor.

“The players put so much into the game, and if I look at us over the last five games we’ve played five of the top sides in this division.
