Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie has taken former Burnley and QPR defender Arthur Gnohere on trial as he looks to strengthen his defence.
Gnohere left Championship side QPR in the summer after suffering a knee injury but is now fit again and looking for a new club.
Ritchie has been forced to look for defensive cover due to the continuous injuries suffered by Matt Carbon and had been looking at Norwich's Jason Shackell before injury scuppered any move.
