Reds midfielder Dean Gorre will miss the trip to Grimsby after suffering a reaction to his knee injury.

The midfielder was a second half substitute against Wycombe last Saturday but has suffered some swelling and will not travel to Blundell Park.

The Reds physio Robert Magnusson told the official Barnsley FC website: “Dean played 22 minutes against Wycombe last week and his knee has swollen up a bit again. The only option at the moment is to pull him out of training for a short while to allow the swelling to go back down.
“We know what is causing the swelling and we are trying something different to minimise it following games. Hopefully we can improve on that and reduce the amount of swelling around his knee.

“He will not be available for Saturday’s game but should be fine for the next match at Oakwell”.
