Reds boss Paul Hart is confident that he can guide us to Division One next season.
On the evidence of what he has seen in the recent games against Plymouth, QPR and Bristol City, Hart is confident they are not far off challenging at the top end of the table.
"It is a big summer and we have to build a team capable of winning promotion next season," he told the official Barnsley FC website.
"I have seen all three of the teams fighting for promotion in the last month and it has been interesting.
"I don't know how much of a yardstick we can take from those matches, but we have a very important year coming up."
