Chairman Gordon Shepherd and Paul Hart himself have refused to deny that he won't be in charge against Peterborough on Saturday.
Potential new managers will no doubt be mentioned in tomorrow's Chronicle but Dave Jones, John Adridge and Neil Redfearn have all been linked with the job.
