Henderson Bid Rebuffed

It is understood that the Reds have had an undisclosed bid turned down for Rochdale striker Ian Henderson.

The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Oakwell over the last couple of days, but an online source suggests that a bid has been knocked back.

Henderson was the second highest goalscorer last season, netting 22 times in the league for Dale, and that has led to interest from elsewhere this summer.

Lee Johnson is still in the market for at least one new striker, with Sam Winnall and on loan Conor Wilkinson the only two recognised first team strikers on the books.

Another name to be linked with a move to Barnsley is Crawley Town striker Izale McLeod, who bagged four goals in two matches against the Reds last term.
