BBC Radio Sheffield understands that Keith Hill will be unveiled as Barnsley FC manager on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old Rochdale boss last week ruled himself out of the running to succeed Mark Robins but it now looks as though the Reds have got their man.

Dale chairman Chris Dunphy declined to comment to Manchester journalists and Hill himself both avoided questioning amid fierce rumours he will be the new man at the helm.

All will be revealed in Wednesday's lunchtime press conference.
