Barnsley have made their second striker signing inside a week by snapping up Peterborough frontman Emile Sinclair on loan.

The 24-year-old striker was placed on the transfer list last week for "footballing reasons" along with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Gabby Zakuani and Tyrone Barnett, who joined Ipswich yesterday. He has netted three in 13 games so far this season.

He joins fellow strikers Chris Dagnall, Craig Davies, Mido and Marcus Tudgay, who joined from Nottingham Forest last week and made his debut in the 1-1 draw with Bolton on Saturday.

Reds boss Keith Hill told BBC Radio Sheffield that he was still after another signing before Thursday's loan deadline:

"I like the deal because it gives us another option," Hill said.

"With having Marcus Tudgay and Craig Davies back and fit I think it's great that we've been able to bring him in.

"You want to have alternatives because you can't keep going with the same players every week.

"Recruitment is key for us and I'm still looking to strengthen in midfield because we are a bit light there."
