How has pre-season gone for you?
Only one defeat, but the results as a whole weren't astonishing. More
important than results though, the team have been playing well, but
replicating that in the league will be a different prospect.
Are you pleased with the signings your club has made?
Richard Garcia and Bryan Hughes should hopefully give a bit of
creativity and flair to our attacks, while Wayne Brown could be the
experienced centre back we've desperately needed. Dean Windass has
signed on a permanent basis and we'll hope he can reproduce the form
he showed while on loan over a whole season. Announced moves for some
exciting players fell through, which was disappointing. We're sure to
need to strengthen further during the season, quite possibly in
central midfield, and up front if the likes of Nick Barmby and Michael
Bridges fail to stay fit.
What realistically are you aiming for this season?
Survival from relegation, but hopefully with a bit more breathing
space than last time.
Which player has past his sell by date?
There are question marks over our captain Ian Ashbee, who led us to
promotion from Division Three and League One. Despite both still being
quality players, Barmby and Bridges need injury-free seasons to be of
true value to us.
Have you got the right manager in charge?
He did just about enough to keep us up last season. We'll see how he
fares now he's made his own signings and has had his first summer of
preparation.
What advice would you give him?
Play to our strengths and get the most out of our creative players.
Who do you see as your key player?
Barmby is our most talented, but whoever steps forward to get some
goals will be a key difference to our team.
Who would you most like to beat this season?
Games against the Sheffield clubs are always good, and many fans would
like to put Scunthorpe in their place.
What's the best and worst that could happen to your club this season?
Worst would be getting relegated. Best would be for it to never be in
danger of happening.
Where will you finish?
Above the relegation zone.

How has pre-season gone for you?
Its been good performance's and some ok one's, never get too carried away with pre-season results, as we all know these results mean nothing.
Are you pleased with the signings your club has made?
Not at all, with all the hype over big players of Juninho and others, we have ended up with Wayne Brown. Brian Hughes I am very impressed with, he seems to be a top Championship midfielder and has impressed everyone so far.
What realistically are you aiming for this season?
All this talk about top half is too far out of reach at the moment I think, but I think anywhere outside the teams battling for the drop would be good. Bottom half of the middle table hopefully.
Which player has past his sell by date?
Danny Coles, a useless defender which our manager seems to want to keep giving a chance.
Have you got the right manager in charge?
Yes and no, no as I don't think Brown is capable of pushing us onto the play-offs the board expect, but yes at the moment in time as he deserves the chance to have a crack at it after keeping us up last season.
What advice would he give him?
Play 4-4-2 and get some midfielders in!
Who do you see as your key player?
Brian Hughes, Boaz Myhill, Michael Turner.
Who would you most like to beat this season?
Every team possible really, but you always have the local games with Scunthorpe, Sheff Utd, Wednesday and Barnsley
What's the best and worst that could happen to your club this season?
The best is to move the club up the table and the worse, is well there is only one worse thing that can happen in this division.
Where will you finish?
Bottom half of mid table I think, hopefully just a bit better then the teams fighting to stay up
