Reds midfielder Grant McCann was a second half substitute for Northern Ireland last night but couldn't prevent them from slipping to a 2-1 defeat in Iceland.
McCann came on in the 79th minute to win his 10th cap.
Meanwhile goalkeeper Nick Colgan was an unused substitute as the Republic of Ireland saw their chances of making it to Euro 2008 all but ended with a 1-0 defeat in the Czech Republic.
