International Update

Reds on-loan defender Lewin Nyatanga has been called up to John Toshack's Wales squad for this month's crucial Euro 2008 qualifiers with the Republic of Ireland and San Marino.

Nyatanga has been in excellent form for Barnsley since arriving on loan from Derby County and this form has earned him another Welsh call-up.

He joins midfielder Grant McCann in getting international recognition as McCann was once again called up to the Northern Ireland squad.

Nyatanga meanwhile is a slight doubt for Wednesday's trip to FA Cup heroes Plymouth Argyle after suffering a bruised foot in the defeat to Sunderland.

Right back Bobby Hassell has recovered though and will be available for selection.
