Grant McCann played 90 minutes in Northern Ireland's historic 2-1 win over Sweden at Windsor Park tonight which put them top of Group F.

McCann who made a goal-scoring substitute appearance in the 4-1 win at Liechtenstein on Saturday started and played a key role as David Healy bagged a brace for Lawrie Sanchez's side.

Elsewhere on loan Lewin Nyatanga was surprisingly relegated to the bench for Wales 3-0 win over San Marino at the Millennium Stadium.

Nyatanga played the full 90minutes in the 1-0 defeat to the Republic of Ireland on Saturday but didn't make an appearance tonight until the 63rd minute when he replaced Steve Evans.

Talking of Ireland, goal-keeper Nick Colgan was again resigned to bench duties as the Irish went joint top of Group D with a 1-0 over Slovakia.

And finally Hungarian striker Peter Rajczi was an unused substitute as Hungary defeated Moldova 2-0.
