Nike’s new Freestyle ad campaign features football and basketball tricksters (including Brazilian ace Ronaldinho) competing against ‘Stickman’ – the animated freestyle king.

Not ones to shirk a challenge, the Footymad network has been charged with finding the next bright young thing and where better to find a match for the boy from Brazil, than in Barnsley.

Nike is looking for the UK’s best footballers to show off their own skills and moves at a series of ‘Freestyle Face-Off’ events round the country, with four winners going forward to the ultimate Face-Off on MTV, where viewers can vote to find the UK’s Champion Freestyler.

Two Freestyle Face-Off events in London and Manchester are open to all-comers and will bring thousands of players determined to show that they’ve got the tricks and skills to make them the UK’s Champion Freestyler.

As well as the main competition arena, the Freestyle Face-Off events will feature pro tricksters to learn from, big-name footballers, an X-box gaming area, DJ and beat-box workshops, breakdance teams and a tricks arena.

The Freestyle Face-Off Events:

4th May - Earls Court 2, London

11th May - G-Mex, Manchester
