Its 7-Up For Reds

Barnsley are just one game away from their first perfect pre-season since the 1996-1997 season after a 2-0 win at League Two Bradford... and we all know what happened that season.

Goals from Stephen Foster and Jon Macken sealed success at Valley Parade, but Kayode Odejayi's hot scoring streak ended at five games. To cap another good day, Iain Hume got another 20 minutes of action after replacing Odejayi.

The Reds took the lead on the half hour mark, when a Hugo Colace corner caused confusion in the area and captain Foster headed in.

The win was sealed exactly 30 minutes later when substitute Macken finished after being put in by an astute pass from Jacob Butterfield.

Barnsley have one more pre-season game before the season kicks off at Hillsborough in two weeks. Next Saturday they entertain big spending Manchester City at Oakwell.
