The Reds have teamed up with sports brand Surridge to manufacture next season's shirts. The deal between Barnsley FC and Surridge will run to the end of season 2008/2009.

The deal ends the two year run with Jako, the manufacturer that saw the Reds promotion from League One through the play-offs. The new brand is also used by Bradford City and MK Dons. It is also used by cricket counties Surrey, Gloucestershire and Glamorgan, as well as the Scotland Saltires.

Reds chairman Gordon Shepherd expressed his delight about the new kit sponsors: "We are delighted to have joined forces with Surridge ahead of what will be another exciting campaign in the Coca Cola Championship.

"We are sure that our new look kit will be a massive hit with supporters when it is unveiled later this week and one of the most popular ever when it goes on sale at the end of the month".
