Barnsley's young sensation Jamil Adam has been named in a provisional Nigeria Under 21 squad in preparation for next years African Youth Championships in Rwanda.
Nigeria have called up 46 players which will meet up in Abuja on the 28th December 2008 and then the squad will be whittled down to 23 in time for the championships which take place in Kigali between 18th January and 1st February 2009.
Adam who is still only 17 is a frequent scorer for the Reserves but has made just one appearance for the first team- in the 3-0 defeat at Cardiff on the final day of last season.
