Lewin Nyatanga has revealed his disappointment at leaving Barnsley with "unfinished business"
Nyatanga has been recalled from his loan spell by Derby with just 3 games remaining after helping The Reds to go 2 points clear of the Championship trap-door.
"It's a shame that I am leaving Barnsley with the job unfinished, but that's football for you. I am certain however that the lads at Barnsley will win their fight - they are a great bunch of lads and deserve to stay up".
Lewin has now swapped the relegation dogfight with a push for promotion and hopes his form while at Oakwell will persuade Billy Davies to give him a chance in the side.
"I am now swapping a relegation dog fight for a promotion push, I won't feel any pressure, I have now got two relegation fights successfully under my belt so pushing for promotion is where I would rather be any day.
"I hope my spell with Barnsley has shown Mr Davies he can rely on me immediately and I'm not just one for the future. I am here to fight for a starting place and to secure promotion, not just to make up the numbers."
