Rochdale have extended the loan spell of Barnsley midfielder Gary Jones for another month.

The former Dale star has also been given the go-ahead to play in their FA Cup clash with Luton on Saturday.

The 26-year-old who scored in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Oxford told Rochdale's official club website:

"All I want to do is play first-team football at Spotland and get myself fit again," Jones told Rochdale's official club website.

"Hopefully, if the manager likes what he sees we can sort out a more permanent arrangement."
