Kay-O'd

Antony Kay may have played his last game for his home-town club after being fined and omitted from the squad for the Hawthorns after breaking the no drinking rule imposed by Simon Davey after the humbling at Ipswich.

Davey imposed the ban after seeing his side demolished 5-1 at Portman Road and it seemed to work with The Reds winning their next 3 games to guarantee survival. Although survival was secured the ban was still in place and it is believed Kay has broken it and could now be on his way out of the club.

Kay is out of contract is the summer and it is the second time he has fallen foul of Davey's orders.

Meanwhile Reds boss Davey has missed out on the Manager of the Month award. Davey was nominated after leading The Reds to 3 wins in April which guaranteed Championship football for next season but was pipped by Stoke boss Tony Pulis who saw his side go unbeaten collecting 11 points to put them on the verge of the playoffs going into the last round of games.

Striker Daniel Nardiello is still in the frame of Player of the Month with the decision for that to be made on Sunday.
