Kell Ruled Out Until New Season

Midfielder Richards Kell will certainly miss the Reds remaining two games of the season after having surgery on his leg to remove a pin.

Kell broke his leg whilst playing for Scunthorpe a year ago and his rehabilitation has meant he has only appeared 3 times in a Barnsley shirt and his latest operation means he will now miss any play-off games The Reds could face and will have to wait until pre-season to get some action.

Reds boss Andy Ritchie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk

"Richard had an operation to have a pin removed from his leg.

"He'll spend the next month recovering but there should be no further problems and should be fit for pre-season."
