Lehtinen hopes to "Finn" In

Barnsley Football Club have taken Finnish Champions Tampere United striker Ville Lehtinen on trial.

Lehtinen is a goal machine in Finland after scoring 21 goals in 32 league and cup matches for Tampere last seasons as they stormed to the Finnish Championship.

The 27 year old is scheduled to play in the Reserves at Port Vale on Monday evening.


Meanwhile Youngsters Ryan Laight, Simon Heslop, Robert Atkinson and Nathan Joynes have all seen their loans at Conference clubs extended

Laight will remain at Tamworth for the rest of the season whilst Heslop will stay for another month.

Atkinson and Joynes will spend another month at Halifax although there is a 24 hour recall clause on Heslop, Atkinson and Joynes.
