As expected Barnsley have completed the signing of Liam Lindsay from Scottish Premiership outfit Patrick Thistle.
The 21 year old was the only player who did not play for either Celtic or Aberdeen (the division’s top two sides) to be named in the Scottish Team of the Year after helping the Jags to their highest league finish for 36 years.
Lindsay who came through the youth ranks at Patrick made 71 appearances for the club and scored eight goals. He arrives at Oakwell for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.
