Reds midfielder Chris Lumsdon has failed to earn a contract with Hartlepool United after training with the club and will return to Oakwell.
Hartlepool boss Neale Cooper said: "He has done really well but we decided he was just too similar to what we have already got at the Club".
Lumsdon still has 12-months remaining on his Reds contract but (along with Kevin Betsy) doesn't feature in Paul Hart's plans so will probably have to look for a move elsewhere or get paid off.
