McParland has signed a contract until 2007 and is in line to make his debut in the trip to Tranmere Rovers tomorrow and will wear the number 12 shirt.
With Martin Devaney struggling with injury and Chris Shuker totally out of form, this could just be the signing to cement a play-off place.
