Reds playmaker Stephen McPhail is set to miss tomorrow's blockbuster FA Cup Second Round tie against
McPhail picked up a knee injury in training this week and is rated very doubtful for tomorrow.
With Brian Howard suspended and Chris Shuker also struggling with a knock, The Reds ( who at their best have probably the strongest midfield in the league) could be quite lightweight in the middle tomorrow
Reds boss Andy Ritchie told the Official Barnsley F.C website:
" We'll monitor him but it looks as if he might be struggling. I don't think it's a long term thing. He stretched for a ball and twisted his knee, which is a blow but we'll have to wait and see how he is"
