Mega Bux Night For Reds

Kayode Odejayi was on the score sheet as Barnsley cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win in their first pre-season friendly at non-league Buxton.

The Reds, who defeated the Derbyshire side 4-1 in a friendly, last year sailed through again with all the goals coming in the first 26 minutes.

Reds boss Simon Davey- who has told his players he wants them to win every friendly, after winning just three out of eight last summer- included two of his four trialists in the starting line-up- Maxime Chanot and Chris Ramsey, with another- Dean Morgan coming off the bench. It was the regular Reds who plundered the goals though, with Odejayi's in particular sure to be the most pleasing. He netted on 20 minutes, in-between two strikes from Daniel Bogdanovic.

The Reds host their first friendly of the 2009-2010 season at Oakwell on Saturday when Istvan Ferenczi and Ferencvaros are the visitors.
