Monk to stay for second month

Southampton defender Garry Monk has being offered a second month on loan at Barnsley.

Reds skipper Peter Handyside is back running in training but Thordarson wants Monk over the busy Christmas period.

Monk is keen to stay with Barnsley while he is playing first team football and knows he has no future at Premiership Southampton.
