The 29-year-old striker will officially sign for Barnsley on July 1st 2007. Whilst playing in Peru he started at Coronel Bolognesi, scoring 26 goals in 78 games. He joined Cienciano in 2004 and scored 59 goals in 133 games. His overall record is 211 games and 75 goals with a strike rate of a goal every 2.8 games. He has played 10 games for Peru, and has scored once.
Miguel will take the number 8 shirt vacated by former-Reds striker Paul Hayes who rejoined old club Scunthorpe United on Wednesday.
Miguel Mostto becomes the club's most expensive signing since the signing of Neil Shipperley in the John Dennis era. Mostto will join subject to international clearance and work permit applications.
