Reds on loan striker Daniel Nardiello makes probably his final appearance for Barnsley at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
The 21-year-old scored seven in 13 starts and although unlikely to remain at Manchester United is likely to have offers elsewhere.
Wigan have been linked with the striker as a possible replacement for former Tyke Andy Liddell who is poised to leave the Latics at the end of the season.
