New managers comments after Luton draw

New boss Paul Hart was "absolutely delighted" as Barnsley drew 0-0 with Luton Town in his first game in charge.

"They showed a great attitude, created chances and played some excellent football at times," he said.

"You have to have trust in young players, and I felt the youngsters we had in our team played like men.

"I want to assess what we have next week and formulate some ideas as to how we can move forward, but it was a good starting point," Hart added.

Meanwhile, Hart says he has yet to decide who to bring in as coach after Noel Blake's departure.

''No, not yet. It's all happened so quickly,'' confirmed Hart to Sky Sports.

''There are a number of things I need to look at.

''When I was contacted a decision was required quickly. I only had a couple of hours to think about it.

''The biggest deciding factors were that I don't like being out of work, I like the people I'm going to be working with and I feel I will get the support required in this job to take the club further.''
