The man charged with attacking ex Reds loanee Ronnie Wallwork has been given a date in which he will answer a charge of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

21 year old Robert Rimmer will appear in Manchester Crown Court on Monday 30th July.

Rimmer denied the charges when he appeared in court earlier this week but will face judge and jury exactly 8 months after Wallwork was stabbed outside the Sugar Lounge bar in Manchester whilst on loan at Barnsley from West Bromwich Albion.

Meanwhile a new date has been set for Barnsley Reserves clash with at Bradford City.

The second string game will now take place on Tuesday 17th April Kick-Off 7:00pm
