Reds skipper Paul Reid is expecting to be fit for this weekend's Easter clashes with Ipswich Town and Birmingham City but goalkeeper David Lucas has been ordered to rest.

Reid clashed with Derby's Jon Macken during the 2-1 home defeat last Saturday and chipped a tooth which forced him off in the second half but Simon Davey has been given the all clear.

He told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:

"Paul is fine now. He will be in training with the rest of the squad this morning although with less teeth than before"

Its not such good news concerning Lucas however.

His full debut was ruined when he collided with Giles Barnes in the build up to Derby's second goal.

Lucas swallowed his tongue and was carried off to hospital and the doctors have ordered him to rest.

Davey added:

"David has a bit of concussion and the doctor has advised he rests for eight days. This will keep him out of the Easter games."
