Reds boss Simon Davey and striker Daniel Nardiello are set to receive more awards after helping The Reds retain their Championship status.

Davey is up for the Manager of the Month award for April after masterminding 3 wins from the 5 games in the month which secured Championship football for 2007-2008 whilst Nardiello has been nominated for the Player of the Month award after bagging 6 goals in 4 games including two braces against Southend and Crystal Palace.

Davey is competing with Sunderland's Roy Keane, Birmingham's Steve Bruce (two managers who saw their sides promotoed to the Premiership this weekend) and Stoke's Tony Pulis who could guide Stoke into the Play-Offs this weekend.

The decision will be made on Thursday.

Nardiello meanwhile is competing with Burnley's Andy Gray, Colchester's Jamie Cureton and Birmingham's Radhi Jaidi for the Player gong.

Reds defender Robbie Williams has also been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award after impressing at Blackpool.

Nardiello meanwhile could receive a further boost with many people tipping hi m to earn a call-up for the Wales squad tomorrow. Wales will play New Zealand in an international friendly at Wrexham on the 26th May.

And finally youngster Luke Potter is set to make his first team debut in the season's curtain faller at West Brom live on Sky on Sunday. Luke was awarded a squad number this week and Simon Davey has hinted he could feature as the Welshman looks towards next season.
