Reds boss Simon Davey has laughed off any promotion talk after Barnsley shot to 4th in the Championship table after a six point haul over the weekend.

With 15 games gone The Reds have picked up 23 points - it took 22 games to reach that total last season- but Davey claims the squad is only looking to reach 50 points as soon as possible.

He told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:

"We are only a third into the season and yes we are up to fourth, which is something we are happy with. If we were fourth at the end of the season then I would be very, very happy. We just want to pick up as many points as possible.

"We went seven matches unbeaten and when that ended we wanted to kick on again. We have done that. We just want to get to 40 or 50 points as quickly as possible. We have certain markers that we want to get to in the season and our first one is to get to 40 points quickly".

Goal-keeper Heinz Muller has been named in the Coca-Cola Championship Team of the Week after his superb display in the 1-0 win over Preston on Saturday. Muller made several tremendous saves before somehow keeping out a last gasp Neil Mellor penalty to earn Barnsley three vital points.

Team of the Week

On the International front, defender Lewin Nyatanga has been named in the Wales squad for their Euro 2008 Qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland and Germany. Nick Colgan has been left out of the Ireland squad however and there is no place in the Northern Ireland squad for Grant McCann.
