A solitary Stephen Pearson goal was enough to see Derby into the Premiership after a thrilling Championship play-off final at Wembley. That means the Reds will be back at the Hawthorns next season looking to improve on the 7-0 crushing they took on the last normal day of the season.

It now means the full line-up for the Coca-Cola Championship 2007/2008 season is complete. Newbies are, from the Premiership: Charlton, the old rivals Sheff United and
Watford. From League One it is Scunthorpe, Bristol City and Blackpool.

The number in brackets ( ) signify the number of points the Reds took off sides last season.

The promotion of The Rams could also mean that The Reds secure the signature of centre back Lewin Nyatnga on loan again for next season.

According to several sources there was an agreement reached between the two clubs that if Derby were to secure promotion to the Premiership then Nyatanga would be allowed to come back to Oakwell for the entire 2007-2008 season on loan if he wished.

N.B. Also just a little thought: Derby County finished 20th in the Championship in season 2005-2006 finishing on 50 points - eight clear of relegation, before finishing third and securing promotion the following season on Monday.

Who finished 20th in the Championship in 2006-2007, finishing on 50 points - eight clear of relegation? It couldn't happen again though.... could it??
