Oakwell will not be hosting Aviva Premiership rugby next season after the Rotherham Titans lost to Bristol in the Championship play-offs yesterday.
A few weeks ago Barnsley had confirmed that the Titans would play their home games at Oakwell next season if they won promotion due to the side’s Clifton Lane ground not meeting the criteria for Premiership rugby.
This will now not happen and is a big blow to Barnsley who will now miss out on a £250,000 windfall.
