Interesting Stats:
Barnsley have won only five of their 20 trips to Turf Moor and just one of the last eight.
The Reds have though lost just one of the last four meetings home or away and knocked the Clarets out of the FA Cup in the Third Round back in January.
There should be goals too. There have only ever been three goal-less draws in the 64 times they have met. This season Burnley have had just one 0-0, Barnsley none.
Of the last 10 meetings where there has been a winner, six have contained just one goal difference between the two sides.
A stalemate tomorrow will be the first time both league meetings of a season have been drawn since 2001-2002. They also drew 1-1 at Oakwell then, after a thrilling 3-3 at Turf Moor.
Burnley ended a six match winless run with a 1-0 victory at Charlton on Saturday. Before embarking on this they were just one place and four points off the play-offs. Despite Charlie Austin earning them three points from the Valley, they now sit five places and eight points adrift.
23 year old Austin’s 25th goal of the season was Burnley’s first for four matches. They have netted just twice in their last five matches.
Sean Dyche’s side have gone three home matches without a win and have tasted victory only once in front of their own supporters in 2013.
They are looking for back-to-back league victories for the fourth time this season.
This will be Barnsley’s 1,500th away match in the second tier of English football, over 250 more than anybody else.
Barnsley have scored at least twice in each of their last seven matches, equalling the same run of 13 years ago. Back in December 1999/January 2000 they managed it in seven successive games by hitting 3,3,3,2,2,2,5. Their run at the moment stands at 2,2,3,3,2,3.2

Barnsley have also managed to score in each of their last 15 matches since a 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in December. their best run for 47 years. The Reds last managed to net in 16 successive games between the 12th November 1966 and the 25th February 1967.
After six successive victories in league and cup Barnsley have now suffered back-to-back defeats. The last time they lost three in a row were Keith Hill’s final two games and David Flitcroft’s first.
Barnsley have won four of their last five matches on the road.
But they have kept just one clean sheet in their last 14 away games.
Remarkably there are four B v B games tonight- Birmingham v Blackpool, Bristol City v Brighton, Burnley v Barnsley and Bolton v Blackburn. This is also Barnsley’s third successive game against a team beginning with B. Their next league game (after the cup tie with Manchester City) is against… Brighton!
This is not even the first time the computer has thrown up this quirk this season. Back in September The Reds faced Bristol City, Blackpool, Blackburn and Birmingham all in succession.
