Kayode Odejayi could make his loan move to Colchester United permanent in January according to the U’s boss Aidy Boothroyd.

Odejayi was farmed out on loan to the Weston Homes Community Stadium in September after scoring just five goals in 82 appearances at Oakwell and he seems to have found his form in League One.

The 27 year old has bagged six goals in nine starts including one in the U’s 4-0 FA Cup First Round win at Bromley yesterday- Odejayi of course made his name in the FA Cup by bagging The Reds winner against Chelsea in the 2008 Quarter-Finals.

And Boothroyd was quoted in the Sunday People as saying:

“Kayode is performing well in the league too. We’ve now got to make sure we hang onto him in January. We like him and he likes it here.”

Odejayi’s Barnsley contract runs out in the summer.
