Barnsley are on the lookout for a new Physio after, current incumbent Matt Konopinski agreed to join Premier League giants Liverpool. Konopinski became the Reds physio in 2005, taking over from long-serving Mick Tarmey but now Liverpool has come calling and he told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk, that it was an opportunity he just could not turn down.

"It was an opportunity to go and work at one of the biggest clubs in the world and something I could not turn down. I like to think that working here at Barnsley has helped me get this opportunity and it is something I am very, very grateful for. I would like to thank Simon Davey, all the first team staff, the players and everybody at Oakwell for their support over the last few years.
"Working with players as a physio does mean that you build up close friendships with them and I will be keeping in touch with a lot of people at Barnsley".
