Portsmouth manager Kenny Jackett said:

“We’ve drawn four games on the trot now and that shows we’re not far away from where we want to be.

“We’re a competitive side and hard to beat, but obviously at this stage of the season what we really want is wins.

“The opportunities are still there for us and we’re in a situation where we have to keep going and try to build momentum.

“We’re trying really hard to get over the line and while we’re pleased not to get beaten, it’s victories that we’re going for.

“It was quite cagey in the first half and very competitive, with Bristol Rovers defending well and we couldn’t open them up.

“Our wide men have been good all season, but found it difficult in one-v-one situations to get past their men.

“Omar Bogle came on and, like the other substitutes James Vaughan and Viv Solomon-Otabor, lifted the crowd. They all bring something different.”
