Posh Axe Fergie

Championship bottom club Peterborough United have sacked manager Darren Ferguson in the wake of a run of one win in nine games.

Ferguson- the son of Manchester United manager Sir Alex, had led Post into the Championship on the back of successive promotions but has found life in the second tier much tougher and Barnsley pocketed three points at London Road the weekend before last, whilst Newcastle defeated them 3-1 on Saturday.

Incredibly Ferguson signed a four year contract in July but has now been dismissed with the Posh bottom, having collected just 11 points from their 16 games.
