Reds & Brum Charged For Brawl

Both Barnsley and Birmingham City have been charged for the brawl which marred The Reds superb 1-0 victory on Easter Money.

A set to between Antony Kay and Nicklas Bendtner turned into a 22 man brawl after the final whistle. During the melee both Neil Danns and Bobby Hassell were shown red cards which rules them out of 3 of the remaining 4 games of the season.

Both clubs have been charged with misconduct for a breach of FA Rule E20 (A)

Neither club have decided whether to appeal or not yet.

Meanwhile Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town have today confirmed the appointment of ex Reds boss Andy Ritchie. A press conference was arranged for 1pm today at the Galpharm Stadium where Ritchie was announced as the man to replace Peter Jackson.

Ritchie who guided The Reds to promotion to the Championship last season before been acrimoniously sacked in November masterminded a victory over Huddersfield in the Play-Off Semi-Finals
