Reds Almost Embarrassed By Ilkeston

A youthful Reds side nearly shot themselves in both feet last night as they raced into a 4-0 half time lead against Ilkeston Town only to be pegged back by the Derbyshire outfit.

First half strikes by Danny Fearnehough, Adam Hammill, Liam Dickinson and Alistair Taylor gave the Reds what seemed like an unassailable lead at the interval.

But three second half goals from Ilkeston, namely from Paul Dempsey, a trialist and Gary Ricketts made the score 4-3. The home side even missed a penalty!
