Reds appeal against Lumsdon dismissal

The Reds will send Saturday's match DVD to the FA in a bid to get Chris Lumsdon's red card withdrawn.

Peter Ridsdale and Gudjon Thordarson were in talks today over the incident and the feeling at the club is that referee Paul Robinson's decision to send the midfielder off for violent conduct was wrong.

Lumsdon is adamant that he did nothing more than jostle with Hartlepool winger Chris Suker.

Both players had arms raised but Lumsdon insists he did not strike Suker.
