Barnsley have moved quickly to offset the departure of Adam Hammill by signing Danny Haynes from Bristol City.

As reported earlier this week, Haynes, who turned 23 yesterday arrives at Oakwell primarily to replace Hammill, who moved to Wolves for a reported £500,000 this morning.

The fee for Haynes is “undisclosed” and he signs a two and a half year deal.

Reds boss Mark Robins told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:

"I am delighted to have brought Danny to the club. He is a player with real pace and can score goals.

"He is a little raw but is someone we are looking forward to working with and help develop as a player at this football club. We are delighted to have him here".
