Barnsley players including Rob Kozluk and Anderson De Silva surrounded the referee after he awarded the Sky Blues a 94th minute penalty for a handball against Kozluk.
The FA have charged the Reds with a breach of Rule E20 (a)- failing to ensure its players and/or officials conduct themselves in an orderly fashion.
The club have until May 27th to respond.
